Fresh

Directed by Mimi Cave

Starring Daisy Edgar-Jones and Sebastian Stan

The movie starts where Noa is sitting in her car petrified to go on a date as she explains to her friend Millie while facetiming, Noa has had no luck in the dating world she eventually goes on the date and the guy is a disaster he criticizes her clothing meanwhile his dirty scarf touches the food as he takes her leftovers with him. The guy is definitely weirdo material. Noa spends her time daily on her phone looking at dating sites and gets freaked out after she is tricked into a welcome hi and opens to a man’s private parts. She opens her fridge and notices that she needs to go to the supermarket. While walking through she encounters a friendly cute young man that introduces himself as Steve, she takes his number. They later meet for drinks and discover they have a lot in common they both have lost family members and are alone in the world and she discovers that he is a doctor and things go very fast from there they end up at her apartment and he spends the night, she is the first one awake so she takes a photo of him sleeping and sends the pic to her best friend Millie for approval. They have dinner later in the week at her place while she is eating meat Steve tells her that he does not eat animals she is immediately filled with guilt and stops eating. Steve invites Noa for a weekend getaway he then tells her upon arrival to pick her up they have to go the next day and for now they can stay at his place once at his house he drugs her she falls to the floor and then chains her to the wall of dungeon type room, when Noa finally come to he is in the room sitting across from her and tells her that he is going to sell her meat. There is a market for women’s meat. After several days she asked if she could take a shower with a plan to escape but he overpowers her and then she is now on the operating table so to punish her for the attack he takes a part of her buttocks.   This movie has a lot of twist and turns if gore is what you want I suggest you see this movie.
